Privacy policy

Messages you send us

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, company and message you enter are emailed to our inbox so we can reply. We also send one automatic email to the address you entered, confirming we received your message. We use your details only to answer your enquiry. We don't add you to a mailing list or share your details with anyone else. To have a message deleted, email us and we will remove it.

The project planner

The planner at /estimate lets you describe a project in your own words and see a price and time range. While you are still planning, your plan and the conversation stay in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers, so you can close the page and pick up where you left off. Clearing your browser's storage, or pressing "Start over", removes them.

What an AI service sees. To write replies and keep the feature list up to date, what you type in the planner is sent to Anthropic (Claude) and, if that is unavailable, to Google (Gemini). Only the conversation and the plan are sent: not your name, your email address or your IP address. Please don't type anything into the planner you wouldn't want a third-party AI service to process. Both providers say they do not use business API data to train their models, and each handles it under its own terms: Anthropic's privacy policy and Google Cloud's privacy notice.

When you send the plan. Pressing "Talk to a representative" sends us your name, email address, and the company, phone number and notes if you add them, together with the plan, the estimate and any logo image you uploaded. That is emailed to us, a copy of the numbers is emailed to you, and a copy is saved in our private storage with Vercel so we can prepare a quote and keep a record. If you become a client, we keep a small record of your project (contact details, what stage it is at and our own notes) in the same private storage. To have any of it deleted, email us.

"Email me this plan" sends a link that reopens your plan to the address you enter, with the price and time range. The plan itself travels inside the link, not in the email. We keep the address and the plan in the same private storage, and they show in our list of estimates, so we may follow up once. Nothing you typed is repeated in that email, only the numbers and the names of standard features, so the form can't be used to send a message to someone else. To have it deleted, email us.

The free website check-up at /check-up fetches the public page at the address you type, from our server, and asks Google's PageSpeed Insights how it does on a phone (Google receives the address for that). We keep a count that a check ran and nothing else: not the address, not the result. The address is only carried into the planner if you press the button that opens it.

The planner uses Cloudflare Turnstile, the same bot check as the contact form, and the same short-lived rate limits described under Server logs.

Analytics and how we count

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages people visit. It does not use cookies and does not identify individual visitors.

We also count three steps of the planner ourselves: someone started a plan, reached an estimate, or sent one to us. Each is recorded as a single count with the kind of project and a one-word label for where the visit came from, such as "google", "meta" or "direct", worked out from the link you arrived by. No cookie, no identifier and nothing about you personally is stored with it, and the counts can't be traced back to a visitor. That one-word label is kept in your browser for the tab you are using, and disappears when you close it.

Cookies and local storage

The LMB Technology company pages don't show ads and don't set advertising or tracking cookies. The free AI Image Detection pages are the one exception: they show ads served by Google AdSense, and third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies there to serve ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings or at aboutads.info; the detector's own privacy policy has the details. If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. It stays on your device. The planner keeps your plan in local storage the same way, and the label for where your visit came from in session storage, which your browser clears when you close the tab.

The only cookie this site sets is the sign-in cookie for our own private admin pages, which only we use. Visitors never receive it.

Services we use

This website is hosted on Vercel. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests the font files. Our email runs through Resend, an email delivery service. It sends messages from the contact form, the confirmation email and our replies. Emails sent to our address are received by Resend, which keeps its own copy for up to 30 days. We save those emails, and our replies, in private storage with our hosting provider, Vercel, so we keep a record of our conversations, and a copy is sent to our Gmail inbox. Plans sent from the planner, and our record of a project once you become a client, are saved in the same private storage. Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy terms. To have your emails, your plan or your project record deleted, email us.

The project planner sends what you type to Anthropic (Claude), and to Google (Gemini) if Anthropic is unavailable, so it can reply and keep your plan up to date. See The project planner above.

The contact form and the planner use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that messages come from people rather than bots. Turnstile reads technical signals from your browser, such as your IP address and browser characteristics, only to run that check. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and time of request) for security, debugging, and abuse prevention. We also briefly use your IP address in memory to limit how many messages can be sent through the contact form and how often the planner can be used, which helps stop spam. These records are not used to identify you.

Your choices

You can browse this site, and use the planner, without giving us any personal information: your details are only sent when you choose to send the plan. To see or delete a message you sent through the contact form, a plan you sent from the planner, or our record of your project, email us at hello@lmbtechnology.com. If you are in a region with privacy rights such as the GDPR or CCPA, you may have additional rights regarding personal data held about you, and we will help you use them. We do not sell personal information.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
